Hot damn!

Last week I posted my V Day gifts and I'm proud to report that I made my first dish from The Sriracha Cookbook.

Here is a picture of my successfully made Srirachili con Carne.
*Obvs this is a picture of my lunch today and not how nicely it was plated in real life bowls last night. Don't judge me.
Ok, the recipe seriously calls for a half cup of Sriracha! I love Sriracha and I thought that was a lot. Not to mention the oodles of other spices on the list. And let's not forget about the full bottle of dark beer that's required.

I would definitely consider this recipe to be too spicy for most, but I suppose that's the sort of thing you'd expect from a cookbook that is completely based off a chili sauce. The bf and I really liked the way this turned out and we will even be consuming it for lunch :)

Now I need to go to the store and get a new bottle of Sriracha...

Loves it

I had to do a post about the cute gifts the bf gave me this year for V Day. He did a good job people! Take a look at these little beauties :)
I'm loving these heart stud earrings from Marc by Marc Jacobs. Seriously. How cute are these!? They have a funny texture to them and their shape is a little funky and different. Perfect :)

If you know me, you know that I love Sriracha. I put it on everything. It's delicious. Imagine my excitement when I found out this was my other present.
Can you say yummmmm?! I opened the cookbook ready to browse the various recipes and opened the book to the ahi tuna recipe. Game over. New plan. Find fresh tuna and prepare accordingly...

Hope your day of love went well!

Pin me

I ended up inspiring myself after I wrote yesterdays post. I couldn't help but think, "why don't all coats have decor on them?"

Ta da!
This is a brooch that my mom gave me from her collection. This particular piece is from the 80s and one that I've been obsessed with since I was little. It now has a new home attached to my black wool coat. Perfect! The gold ballerina body and abalone-ish skirt demand their own spotlight against a heavy black background.

I'm a firm believer of adding some sparkle to your everyday life!
