The Great Estate - Vintage Fab

After becoming increasingly obsessed with shows like Cash & Cari, American Pickers and Storage Wars, the bf and I have been itching to go to an estate sale. Enter my good friend Erica and a plan. My friend Erica seems to have a bunch of random information at the ready. This is how our conversation went down:

Me - Hey Erica. We're dying to go to an estate sale but I don't know where to find them in the city.
Erica - Oh I want to go too. Here is a link that lists them all.
Me - *blank stare*

Needless to say, we found ourselves at an estate sale on Saturday morning.

I have a thing for vintage jewelry and have acquired quite the collection over the years courtesy of my fabulously fashionable Great Grandma and vintage stores. Estate sales are usually great places to discover old items. Saturday only confirmed this. Here is what I scooped up.

I saw this amazing long, thin Bone China dish and I had to have it. The flower paintings and the gold edge was too great to pass up. It now houses some of my favorite brooches.

I'm always one for interesting dishes and serving vessels. This 3 part serving dish will make a nice addition to my already existing collection. Even the bf was wanting this.

And finally this great flower brooch. This little gem was in the garage amongst sewing materials and tools. When I gave it to the woman to pay for it, she had never even see it. Quite the find indeed. I actually have it pinned to my black satin top today. It's in incredibly great shape considering its age and the coloring is amazing. I love that the green petals peak out from the back.

Erica picked up an awesome magnetic bobby-pin holder from the 1950's. So cool. It's bronze and about 3 inches tall with a metal rose on the front. Very chic.

Hope you're all finding some fabulous old treasures!
